In 5 months I'm graduating from high school, so I'll be periodically writing entries of memories in school. Here's the first one:

In the fifth grade, kids used to say put-downs a lot, such as "Your mama's so fat, when her pager goes off people think she's backing up". But once the principal realized this, she made us do this thing where we all had to say "put-ups", where we would give a complement to someone randomly selected by our teacher. The first person my teacher chose for me to "put-up" was this annoying girl that I didn't like. So I said "Kim...today you don't look as fat and ugly as you did yesterday."
